Looking back over June it was a humdinger of a month for Ty Gwyn! Our cider was guzzled by the gallon at the Hay Festival as well as the inaugural Mach 1 motorbike festival in Machynlleth, to say nothing of the brilliant Monmouthshire Food Festival or the Three Counties Show at Malvern. And we bought a new larger van to cope with increasing demand to say nothing of the spanking new festival cider bar we had made by Top Notch Joinery in Abergavenny.
Cardiff International Food Festival
We’re just back from Hampshire’s premier beer, cider and music event Lowdefest and are now gearing up for the Cardiff International Food Festival which sees us occupying a bigger stand in the Producer’s Fayre section. Finally at the end of the month we’ll be at the Big Cheese in Caerphilly for the first time, a great festival that always attracts a lot of interest and praise from the foodie community.
Find Ty Gwyn Cider in more places than ever!
We’d like to welcome some new customers to the Ty Gwyn Cider family. These include the Red Lion in Cricklade, the Hummingbird Café in Llanover, The Beaufort Arms and Britannia Inn in Crickhowell, the Chain Bridge in Usk, the Red Lion in Bredwardine, and the Cornewall Arms in Clodock. Fine, independent establishments one and all.
Some important news on the promotional front for trade customers. We now have a very limited stock of very sophisticated looking half-pint cervaise glasses available in for anyone who would like some. They sit alongside our branded pint glasses, beer mats and leaflets in the section marked ‘available POS. materials’. Coming soon, a limited number of Ty Gwyn T-shirts will be made available to our trade customers’ staff members, providing of course that (work dress code allowing!) they wear them behind the bar. Please watch this space.
Special events at our cider shop
Join us for our special sausage and cider event on 6 August, and a cider cocktail and open-mic night on 20 August. All welcome.
Finally, as ever, do please get in touch if you need to place another order. We always try our best to contact all our customers in person to see how you’re doing, but we don’t always manage to get hold of you so do please call or email on this address if you need to place an order. A very small number of customers are occasionally using our old contact number so do please make a note of our new-ish number below, if you haven’t yet done so.
See you at the cider bar!
